Description

From Bebop to Alula – in 1985 the jazziest of the UK-based Pop/Jazz-acts, Working Week, went on a European tour to promote their most successful album ‘Working Nights’. Right after Larry Stabbins (a.k.a. Stonephace) and Simon Booth (a.k.a. Simon Emmerson of Afro Celt cult) formed Weekend they changed their style slightly and brought what comes after Weekend, the Working Week, to life and success. With their stunning live versions of formidable hits like ‘Inner City Blues’, ‘Venceremos’, or ‘Sweet Nothing’ they took Bremen by not-so-quiet storm with their nine-piece big band fronted by charismatic singer Julie(t) Roberts.
When you love Jazz, Latin, Pop and Soul – not just as added flavours, but as equal ingredients – you got it here all in one. Enjoy!
